ANNOUNCEMENT

[As published in the Christian Science Sentinel, April 18, 1936]

From the June 1936 issue of The Christian Science Journal

We are happy to announce to the Field of Christian Science that sufficient funds are in hand so that the Reconstruction and Furnishing Fund is now closed. The purposes for which the fund was established —the reconstruction of the former Publishing House for the Administration Building, furnishing it, and helping to furnish the new Publishing House, the rebuilding of the Church Park fronting the Church edifice, and other essential work—have been completed satisfactorily. We rejoice with the Field in the accomplishment of this demonstration, and again express our appreciation of the generous part the Field has had in making this possible.

Contributions for the Reconstruction and Furnishing Fund that may be received after this date will—unless the donors desire otherwise — be placed in the Charitable Institutions Fund, which is in need of constant and more general support from the Field of Christian Science to care for the beneficent activities of the Pleasant View Home and the two Sanatoriums, the one at Chestnut Hill, Brookline, Massachusetts, near Boston, and the other in San Francisco, California.
