"God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies" (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 307). Many times Mrs. Eddy proved this simple yet profound statement of Truth in her own experience and that of others, before she gave it to the world through her published writings. Spiritual ideas always stand the test of proof. Through the unfoldment of these ideas one is brought into closer union with God and His creation. So-called mortal mind has no opportunity to enter when a floodtide of spiritual ideas fills consciousness.
Every earnest student of Christian Science is proving in some measure the value of right ideas to meet the daily needs. Through the utilization of these ideas he is lifted above many seemingly insurmountable mountains of fear, disease, and poverty. "As mortals drop off their mental swaddling-clothes, thought expands into expression," our Leader writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 255,) and a liberation not experienced before is made manifest in his life.
As a student of Christian Science was once struggling with a problem of loneliness and lack, the statement already quoted stood out as an individual and direct promise. It brought, too, the added message or realization that the only possible avenue of escape from her problems was in using the one thing she had— namely, God-given spiritual ideas. As she realized that no evil influence or condition could stand in the presence of these ideas, the adjustment of human affairs began to take place. Right and wrong conditions were properly classified, that which brought the greatest good to all concerned was established, and the healing work went on to joyous completion.
