Many beautiful healings have come to me through the power of Truth as taught and demonstrated in Christian Science. The greatest, the most glorious of these healings was that of ignorance of God. I had no concept of real good—good as God, supreme good; I had no thought of God as Love or as eternal Life. Christian Science taught me these beautiful, life-preserving, joy-giving truths. As I learned the truth about God, the truth about man in His image was unfolded to me. The great truth that man reflects and expresses eternal Life and can know no death, burned like a steady flame in my thought, to light my way out of a belief of sorrow and bereavement into peace and harmony.
When I first found Christian Science I had been a sufferer for several years from periodical attacks of neuralgia; also a painful growth in the breast caused me some anxiety. These two errors were completely and permanently eradicated through the persistent and prayerful study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
At that time I had also suffered over a number of years from chronic inflammation and misplacement of certain organs. Several reputable physicians had said I could never be well again unless I submitted to what is called a major operation. This condition was healed in less than two weeks through the prayers of a Christian Science practitioner who, through spiritual understanding of God and His laws, proved that divine Mind is always operating to maintain the perfection of His creation. This healing took place about twenty-five years ago and has been permanent.
