I am indeed grateful to Almighty God, to Christian Science, and to Mary Baker Eddy for a wonderful healing which I received some years ago in Christian Science. I was taken suddenly ill, and was told by our physician that a major operation alone would give me relief. I was unwilling to undergo this, and said I should like to put it off for a week. I knew I must take the problem to God, and I began to have Christian Science treatment and to place all my cares on God, and He has never failed me. I also began to study the Bible and all Mrs. Eddy's writings as much as I could at that time. After over two years of faithful, loving, and devoted work by a practitioner, and my own daily study and obedience to God, I was completely healed.
The ninety-first Psalm was my constant help during these two long years of study and trial; also, the chapter on Prayer in Science and Health, and the statement onpage 275, "The starting-point of divine Science is that God, Spirit, is All-in-all, and that there is no other might nor Mind,—that God is Love, and therefore He is divine Principle." I was very careful to watch my thoughts during this time, to admit only the good and pure, to claim my oneness with the only Mind, and to know that God is Love, and, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
Today I am very grateful that I belong to The Mother Church and to a branch church, and for the wonderful privilege of having had class instruction. I am grateful also for the opportunity of teaching a Sunday school class. I am indeed grateful.— West Palm Beach, Florida.
