Since taking up the study of Christian Science I have been healed of many false beliefs, results of physical injuries, and wrong traits of character; I have also been healed of the desire for tea and coffee. I am very grateful for these healings, which have been accomplished sometimes with the help of practitioners and sometimes by my own study and realization of the truth of being.
I should like to tell of two healings which stand out prominently. One was of a badly burned face, incurred when I was tending a furnace. By holding steadfastly to the truth as taught in Christian Science I was freed from pain, and in a few days the burned skin came off, leaving new skin. Moreover, no scar remained.
Recently I had what is known as a stroke, and my left side became partly paralyzed. Through the work of a consecrated practitioner I was healed in four days. The stroke took place on a Tuesday evening and on the following Sunday I was ushering in our branch church. No words can express my gratitude for these healings.
