We became interested in Christian Science through sending our daughter to the Sunday school. The simple truths about God and man which were brought into the home through her understanding caused us to attend the lectures and church services.
The first Christian Science healing I witnessed, many years ago, was one my mother experienced. She had undergone one operation for hernia and had decided to try Christian Science before undergoing another. She was healed through the help of a practitioner. Since then we have had many proofs of God's loving care, and our home is more harmonious.
A young son, who had never had any other than Christian Science help, was afflicted with a condition which made it impossible for him to move any part of his body for three days. With the help of the same practitioner he was completely healed in about one week. One night, when I was sitting at his bedside and reading the twenty-third Psalm, the first verse helped me to realize that man lacks no good thing and has no selfhood apart from God, good. This realization cleared my thought, and harmony was restored.
