It was for peace of mind, rather than for physical healing, that I turned to Christian Science; but during the early years of my study, sick headaches, curvature of the spine, chronic throat trouble, and many minor ailments vanished.
Our first daughter was a delicate child, under the physician's care much of the time, but her pure thought was receptive to the truth, through which she at once became well and strong. When she was about ten years old, she recovered from sunstroke after one treatment.
Our second daughter has known no other than Christian Science treatment. When her second teeth came in, the left incisor grew at a right angle to the jaw. We did not see a dentist about the condition. It was overcome entirely through Christian Science, by our knowing that in God's plan everything is symmetrical and properly placed, that His child can manifest no malformation, and that "there is no room for imperfection in perfection" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 424).
