From the September 1939 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered." How, indeed, can I declare them all!

I was privileged to attend the Christian Science Sunday School for several years, at home and abroad, where I learned to apply what I understood to overcome headaches and other difficulties. With the help of a practitioner I was healed of influenza, and so thoroughly healed of St. Vitus's dance that often people with whom I have been associated in my work have remarked on my serenity. Without human help, I was saved from drowning when I saw clearly that God is my Life.

The understanding of the statement in Psalms, "He hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder," enabled me to go to England, when it seemed that all avenues were closed to me. I met much love while there, and was able to attend Sunday school regularly, though at first this seemed impossible. Through the understanding gained there of "the scientific statement of being" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 468), I was able to heal myself of a sprained ankle overnight, and in the morning could walk so freely that my friends were astonished.
