Many are the blessings that have come to my family and to me through the earnest study of Christian Science, and its application to the problems of daily life. Troubled waters have many times been encountered, and only by steadfast determination to look to God have we been kept from being washed upon the rocks of despair and discouragement.
We have been healed of many diseases, some of which were hereditary. Our needs were all met through the recent lean years. Many times we were tempted to believe in lack, unemployment, lost opportunities, and mistakes, only to be buoyed above these darkened thoughts by longer periods of study of Christian Science literature and the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly.
My heart goes back in unspeakable gratitude to the loyal Christian Science pioneers, among whom were my parents. The Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy was their constant guidebook, and never did they question the correctness of Christian Science or Mrs. Eddy's rightful place as Leader of the movement. As a result of their fruitful labor, we of today enjoy the harmonious workings of a worldwide movement which is elevating human thought to higher levels.
