I wish to express my gratitude...

From the September 1940 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I wish to express my gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me and is doing for all mankind. It has brought me many blessings in healings, guidance, and protection. Among these healings are those of kidney trouble, diphtheria, blood poisoning, ptomaine poisoning, and arthritis. I have experienced protection from grippe, when all around me there was evidence of fear and sickness. A case of gallstones was overcome when both practitioner and patient held firmly to a Bible verse.

Many times, when the way has not been clear and human will has tried to formulate some erroneous plan, instant unfoldment of the right step has come through the quiet contemplation of Mrs. Eddy's statement (Science and Health, p. 506). "Spirit, God, gathers unformed thoughts into their proper channels, and unfolds these thoughts, even as He opens the petals of a holy purpose in order that the purpose may appear," together with the thought that His way would unfold.

Words fail me when I try to express my gratitude for all that God is doing for me; for the Way-shower, Christ Jesus; for our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy; and for the loving practitioners, who stand ready at all times to answer the call for help. May I live the truth that I know! —
