YOUR PATH LIES ONWARD

From the May 1945 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Oh, turn from error's contemplation;
Leave past mistakes and fears behind;
With truer, purer consecration
Look deep into the perfect Mind.

In Mind alone is satisfaction,
And healing for all earthly woe;
For Mind, the source of every action,
Can never pain or discord know.

Oh, lift your heart to God in gladness
And praise Him with a joyful song.
True gratitude will banish sadness;
Love will remove all trace of wrong.

Oh, listen to Love's tender pleading;
Come, leave the shadows for Truth's light
And trust God's care, His gentle leading.
Your path lies onward, upward, bright!
