Testimonies of Healing

I Should like to express my thanks to...

From the July 1945 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I Should like to express my thanks to God for His goodness. For the twenty-six years during which we have enjoyed the blessings of Christian Science, He has met our every need. We had the privilege of sending our children to the Christian Science Sunday School, and their problems have always been solved through God's love. His love has seemed much greater in these war years; there has not been one problem it has failed to meet when I have truly said, "Not my will, but thine, be done" (Luke 22:42). Every trial has taught me another lesson.

When I was much troubled at one time, not knowing what to do humanly, God spoke to me through one of our hymns (Christian Science Hymnal, No. 82), "God is working His purpose out." This thought has been my constant help during the past two years, when a son has been in our country's service. Only good can result from really trusting God to work out His purpose for us.

I have had many physical healings since beginning the study of Christian Science. In fact it was an instantaneous healing which first aroused my interest. Following an attack of fever, I suffered greatly from a condition which required a high enema twice daily. After one treatment by a Christian Science practitioner I never required another enema. Frequent colds and sore throat, which often left me without the use of my voice for several days, have also been healed.
