She searched the Scriptures, and she found in them
The rule that heals all sickness, sin, and woe.
The search was sweet; Mind did not fail her when,
With faith newborn, she saw the way to go.
She took the revelation she attained.
And to the world she gave this gift of good.
She took the promises God had proclaimed
And showed they are fulfilled when understood.
But though she gave the key that has unlocked
The Book of knowledge ignorance had sealed,
She did not take the praise, instead bethought
To give to God the glory Mind revealed.
Great works she did, the way she showed and trod,
This gentle woman with a faith in God.
