The Bible says in Jeremiah (31:3), "I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee." This truth was proved to me when Christian Science entered my experience. I did not come to it for healing since I did not know that it would heal. A lecture printed in one of the local newspapers first caught my attention, and soon I was reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and Mary Baker Eddy's other writings. Constipation and headaches of many years' standing simply disappeared.
I was also healed of grief. My family, who are all in Finland, wrote occasionally. One day the news came that my sister had passed on. I had the textbook in my lap and turned to page 578 where Mrs. Eddy has interpreted the twenty-third Psalm. After reading some of it I fell asleep and awakened completely free. A little later I received word of my mother's passing on. It was on a Monday when that letter came. The following Sunday I did not feel much like going to church, but went anyway. Again I had an instantaneous healing— while the solo was being sung. Not a trace of the grief which I had felt upon entering the church remained.
All these healings I experienced while I did not even know I could have asked for help from a practitioner, nor did I know how to help myself. Since then I have received countless blessings through Christian Science.
