Testimonies of Healing

I should like to express my gratitude...

From the April 1946 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science. I came to it not for healing, but because a member of my family felt that true religion was to be found in its teachings. I began reading in order that we might discuss the subject. It appealed to my reason, and as I read, my doubts were overcome and my questions answered.

One of the first healings I witnessed was that of our small daughter. A severe sprain resulted in a badly swollen hand and arm, but the condition was almost instantly healed when we asked help of a practitioner. About the same time I lay awake one night with a severe earache. In the morning I was told that I should either see a physician or call a practitioner. I immediately said that I would call a practitioner. With this decision I was healed. There was no need to call anyone.

Since that time we have depended on Christian Science for all the needs of our family. Our children at that time were four and eight years of age. Measles, diphtheria, symptoms of blood poisoning, and influenza have disappeared before the light of Truth. Problems of everyday living, aside from the physical healings, have been quickly solved. I am sincerely grateful for the patient, loving practitioners who stood by so willingly.
