"Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ" (Rev. 12:10). Pondering this passage from the Bible brought healing instantaneously where fear and panic had prevailed.
I had lain awake for hours one night with fever and chills. After reading with great difficulty from the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings, I thought I should telephone for help from a Christian Science practitioner, but hesitated because of the early morning hour. As I lay there trying to decide what to do, the words quoted from Revelation came to me very clearly. It was as though someone had spoken them out loud. I answered: Why of course—and I don't need to telephone anyone. All I need is here because Christ is here. It is the Christ, Truth, in a Christian Science treatment that heals. Christ is always the power, supplying peace and assurance. It is not necessary to call or talk with a human personality.
This thought was so clear, positive, and powerful that I felt the very presence of Truth, and all sense of pain and fever was gone. The healing was complete. After sleeping a few hours I got up and went about my duties of the day entirely well and free.
