GOD, Love, is all good. Therefore all that can be transmitted to man is good, for good is the only reality. Spiritual good flows eternally from God to man, for God is reflected by man. Let one come in contact with the spiritual love which another reflects and he is blessed by it in some measure, because the love which emanates from God is all-powerful. This is a demonstrable fact.
Mortal mind thinking would pervert this spiritual fact by claiming that there is human thought transference capable of injuring one against his will, and that disease can be transmitted by physical contact. So-called contagious diseases are the result of this error of thought. When fear, an element of all disease, becomes widespread, an epidemic sometimes results.
Christian Science reveals that the way to heal disease and to prevent epidemics is through the understanding and application of its teachings of the Science of being. This is the only sure method because it utilizes spiritual power, the power of God, Truth, which Christ Jesus demonstrated. The prayer of affirmation of man's oneness with God, good, heals in the degree this basic spiritual fact is understood.
