In gratitude to God for His precious gift of Christian Science and to Mary Baker Eddy, through whose spiritualized consciousness it was revealed to this age, I send this testimony.
From early childhood I had worn glasses and suffered from headaches, which the oculist said were normal with sight such as mine. My first healing in Christian Science was of these headaches. As I read a passage in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I glimpsed the fact that God is Love and that He had not afflicted me. The healing was instantaneous. Some months later I was able to discontinue wearing glasses.
This demonstration was brought about over twenty years ago through treatment by the practitioner who introduced me to Christian Science. I shall never cease to be grateful for the consecrated work she did for me and for other members of our family when we were going through very trying experiences. On one occasion I arrived at her house in a sorry plight, having fallen off my bicycle, badly injuring my face, and the splendid work she did for me that night resulted in a beautiful healing.
