Over twenty nine years ago, while I was searching for medical relief through prominent physicians and waiting for the verdict that I might have to submit to an operation, Christian Science came to my attention. A sister in law, who had been healed of lumbago, invited me to attend church with her.
At the first Wednesday evening testimony meeting which I attended, these words from one of Mrs. Eddy's hymns arrested my attention (Poems, p. 75):
"Saw ye my Saviour? Heard ye the glad sound?
Felt ye the power of the Word?"
