It was my privilege to attend a Christian Science Sunday School...

From the April 1950 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It was my privilege to attend a Christian Science Sunday School at an early age, through an aunt who firmly believed in the teaching of Christian Science. My first healing in Science was of measles, which with the help of a practitioner was overcome in two days.

When we moved to another town, where we resided for a number of years and where there was no Christian Science church, my interest in Science temporarily waned. However, after finishing my studies at high school, I was given a position in this city, where I had been introduced to Christian Science, and the same aunt advised me to go and see the practitioner who had helped me previously. I did so, with the result that although only a youth in my teens, I again became interested and periodically attended services.

Later, at the age of nineteen, I again attended a Christian Science Sunday School. I should here like to express gratitude for the faithful teacher who taught me there, because through his guidance I learned more about Science in that twelve months than in all my previous efforts. This grounding gained in the Sunday School has helped me many times throughout my subsequent business and domestic responsibilities.
