Testimonies of Healing

The healing of Spanish influenza through...

From the September 1952 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The healing of Spanish influenza through Christian Science and protection from accident while I was training as a naval aviator in World War I led me into membership in a branch church and The Mother Church. During World War I and throughout the succeeding years of fruitful activity as a working Christian Scientist I have been blessed beyond measure through activity in the Christian Science movement.

Every opportunity for service that has been presented to me in my branch church has been wholeheartedly accepted. Joyous participation in ushering, committee work, and Sunday School teaching, as well as serving as Sunday School superintendent, as a member of the governing board, and as First Reader, has brought benefits far out of proportion to the effort and time given to these activities.

As my sphere of service in the church broadened, so the demand for my services in my chosen profession grew. I have been strengthened and encouraged by realizing that every sincere, active Christian Scientist is blessed by the powerful, prayerful metaphysical work being carried on for the world-wide growth of Christian Science by members of The Mother Church.
