For many years I have been receiving encouragement and inspiration from reading the testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals. Now I should like to add my testimony, hoping that it may be helpful to someone, although words are inadequate to express my gratitude for the blessings that have come into my life.
From early childhood I suffered from asthma. The efforts of several kind physicians and a trip to a different climate brought no improvement. Then Christian Science treatment was resorted to, and it brought hope and relief, although not complete freedom at that time. Finally, through my own efforts in applying the truths, I was permanently healed. That was twenty years ago, and I have been free ever since.
Mrs. Eddy's statement in Science and Health (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need," has been proved true many times in my experience. It became necessary for me to earn a living for myself and two children when they were still very young. Having been a schoolteacher before my marriage, I again secured a position as one.
