Our family has enjoyed the benefits of Christian Science for more than twenty-five years and has had many healings. Some of us hesitate to speak of our lesser experiences and wait for more outstanding ones, but often through small demonstrations of Truth we learn many useful lessons.
One such experience happened some years ago. We lived near a large family, the children of which were inadequately supervised. Our neighbors complained that many things were being taken from their yards. One of the children entered our yard one day and took a can of paint and a paintbrush. We were quite disturbed on witnessing this act, but we declared that all God's ideas are honest, regardless of what the material senses say. Each time we saw this child we expressed the thought that he was honest. Two days later the two items were found back in their rightful place. No further complaints were heard.
When our daughter was a small child she suffered for several days from pain in one car. We clung to Mrs. Eddy's statement on page 463 of Science and Health, "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." In a very short time her ear started to drain, and there was no return of the condition.
