I have been blessed by reading the experiences of others who have testified in the Journal and in the Christian Science Sentinel. This expression of gratitude is given with the hope that it will bless others as I have been blessed.
When a child I attended an orthodox Sunday School and tried to live according to the Bible teachings, but as I grew into young womanhood I had many physical difficulties and finally became an invalid. Physicians advised an operation but gave little hope that I should ever be entirely well.
During an attack of appendicitis with complications I prayed earnestly, reasoning that a God who is Love could not possibly be responsible for my sad condition. While waiting to gain strength for an operation I decided to find out something about Christian Science and called a practitioner, who came to see me. After talking with her I threw away my medicine, which I had been taking hourly, and decided to trust God completely. In less than three days I knew that I was healed. In the ensuing thirty-five years I have never had another attack of appendicitis.
