Recently as I sat quietly recalling the many years of blessings which I owe to Christian Science, I felt that it would be most fitting to send a testimony for the periodicals, which have been my daily benefactors throughout these years. Without these publications I could hardly have carried on at times.
I have had many healings, some by my own efforts alone and others with the patient and loving help of practitioners. In my early experience as a Christian Scientist there was a healing of neuritis, which had troubled me over a period of years. I was a professional musician and had to play several hours a day to help support my family, my husband having passed on. The neuritis became so bad that I almost lost the use of my hands and arms, and I had to give up one position after another.
Finally I saw that giving up to the error was not the way; so I took a position in a busy school of artistic dancing, where I played long hours. At first the work was very painful to me, but with the help of a practitioner I managed to continue. Although I felt that I did not know how to give a treatment, I had learned that man's true being is spiritual and that therefore error cannot be real.
