Twenty-four years ago, when confronted with many inharmonies, I turned to Christian Science for help. I found peace of mind and healing through my study and application of this wonderful truth.
Almost immediately I had to overcome my fear of a disease with which my mother had passed on, and I can never express enough gratitude for the help of a beloved Christian Science friend who stood by me during this time. For many days this Bible passage was my constant companion (II Tim. 1:7): "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." I found my freedom when I realized that God was my Father-Mother and that as the child of God I could inherit only the good, the true, the beautiful.
Our family has had many wonderful proofs of God's care during the years. The working out of the right idea of place and employment has unfolded and continues to unfold, almost without effort. The restoration of my husband's health through reliance on Christian Science and through the help of a loving practitioner is a reason for special gratitude.
