Attendance at a Christian Science Sunday School from my early years until I was twenty has indeed been a pearl of great price. The firm foundation which is gained there enables the children to meet any problem and is a source of much joy and gratitude.
The past few years, in which I have been employed in a distant city away from my family, have proved a testing time in which to solve various problems. The fatherhood and motherhood of God have become increasingly apparent with the daily proving of only one Mind, which guides, governs, and controls every thought and action.
I am employed as secretary in a small office and find many opportunities to apply the truth, especially in the locating of files. One day it was necessary to locate an important file for a building contractor, who was awaiting its contents by long-distance telephone. I had been employed but a few days and had not been given detailed instructions regarding filing data. I prayed for guidance to be led to the correct file, and the statement of Mrs. Eddy's on page 506 of Science and Health came to me, "Spirit, God, gathers unformed thoughts into their proper channels, and unfolds these thoughts, even as He opens the petals of a holy purpose in order that the purpose may appear."
