GOD'S SUPPLY IS INFINITE

From the April 1956 issue of The Christian Science Journal

One of the greatest problems mankind has to solve is the sense of limitation. Limitation is a mistaken belief of a selfhood apart from God. In God's kingdom of love there is no limitation, for God is All-in-all, and His supply is infinite.

Mortals are apt to believe that supply depends upon material ways and means, possibly on another person's efforts, and that sometimes something can interfere with these efforts and obstruct harmonious results. Christian Science has come to liberate mankind from these fetters of false belief, to lift them out of the slough of despair onto the firm ground of Truth and Love, into the clear atmosphere of Spirit.

Man, the likeness of God, expresses the unlimited freedom and abundance of good. Knowing this and understanding our real status as children of God, as heirs to unlimited good, we shall bring into our experience all we need for a full and happy life. This does not imply, however, that we have nothing to do but wait for God to supply all our needs. We must wait on God humbly and diligently and always be ready to obey His will. God's will is infinitely good, and it follows that in thinking and doing good we express our divine sonship. Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 192), "The good you do and embody gives you the only power obtainable."
