Christly Vision

Luke 8:49-56

From the April 1956 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"She is not dead, but sleepeth," Jesus said.
His certainty of Truth, that ruled out fear,
Gave swift dismissal to the scornful sneer
And skeptic laugh. The light of vision led
Resistlessly beyond the scene of dread,
And at Mind's open doorway, where the clear
Demand of Soul commands a listening ear,
Presented crowning proof of Life instead.

The fadeless glow of immortality
Maintains the shining open portal. Prayer,
As Christly vision of Life's verity,
Discerns the wholeness of true being there,
And finds the truth of man's identity
Forever nurtured by Love's tender care.
