I have had many proofs of the power, activity, and availability of God's law as revealed to us by Mary Baker Eddy. My first testimony appeared in the Journal for January, 1946, and I wish again to express my gratitude.
A few years ago I became involved in so many material activities that my study of Christian Science was neglected. I was carrying a heavy college course in addition to my regular work of carrying on a business and making a home for my son and me. I kept telling myself, "If I can only hold out until this semester is over, I'll take a good rest."
However, rest did not help. A bad heart condition, accompanied by extreme weakness and a distressing bladder irritation, was evident, and worst of all, my thinking was stagnant. Appeal was made to a Christian Science practitioner. Through her prayerful metaphysical work, my thinking began to clear so that I could declare the truth for myself. Several times I seemed to be about to pass on, but gradually my understanding was restored, and I could conceive of my identity as spiritual and God-supported
