For some time I have felt an urge to write a testimony about the many physical healings I have experienced as the result of my study and application of Christian Science. My blessings also include protection from accidents, guidance in business matters, employment, and last, but not least, an increasing sense of love among the members of my family.
Ever since I was a child I had suffered from severe attacks of indigestion. One day shortly after I had begun to study Christian Science, I awoke with such an attack. As I sat in a chair reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, while my wife supported me with prayerful help, I became unconscious. My wife declared, "God is your Life." I recovered at once and stood upright, perfectly well. In fact, I was so well that I felt impelled to go to work, and I did so. That was the last time I suffered from such an attack.
During the depression, after being out of work for some time, I secured temporary work assisting others in wrecking a large building. I was very grateful for this demonstration of God's care in finding employment that morning. While I was on the roof of the building, a piece of metal cut my hand deeply. The thought came forcefully to mind that it was unthinkable that after finding much-needed employment through divine guidance I should be so injured that I would be unable to proceed. Declaring the allness of God and my relationship to Him, I continued earnestly to insist that God does not give good to His child, then snatch it away; and I felt deeply grateful for God's goodness. The bleeding quickly stopped, and I continued working without ill effects. That evening while cleaning my hands, I noticed that the hand looked normal except for a red mark which soon disappeared.
