The Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy announce a gift set of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Prose Works other than Science and Health, and the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy.

These three books in the Cloth Pocket Edition are available in a choice of two colors, red and green, and are provided in a sturdy, open-end container of matching color when the set of three books is bought complete at $18. With Science and Health thumb-indexed, the price is $20.50.

The books are printed on fine Bible paper with top-gilding. In the container, these books are especially useful on desk or table.

The gift sets may be obtained at Christian Science Reading Rooms throughout the world or direct from Horace J. Carver, Publishers' Agent, One Norway Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts, U.S.A.

CHURCH MEMBERSHIP—ITS PURPOSE

At a meeting in 1879, on motion of Mary Baker Eddy, it was voted, "To rise to the demands of this early pronouncement is the work of true Christian Scientists." (See The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany by Mrs. Eddy, p. 46.) Membership in The Mother Church links one with those in all parts of the world who are engaged in this great work.

Applicants who are ready for membership in The Mother Church, in accordance with the Church Manual requirements, are admitted twice each year.

Application blanks and information concerning membership may be obtained at Christian Science Reading Rooms, from practitioners listed in The Christian Science Journal, or from clerks of branch churches and societies. Applications may also be obtained from Gordon V. Comer, Clerk, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts.

NURSES TRAINING COURSE

Opportunities for qualified Christian Scientists who intend to devote themselves to the profession of Christian Science nursing are available at both Sanatoriums of the Christian Science Benevolent Association. Those who complete this course may serve as private nurses in the Field, in nursing homes, and in visiting nurse services, as well as in the Sanatoriums from time to time.

Address inquiries to Personnel Department, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts.

SUBMITTING TESTIMONIES

Convincing testimonies of healing in Christian Science are welcomed for publication from members of The Mother Church and from students who are not members. If possible, they should be typed, triple spaced, on one side of the paper only and with wide margins. A testimony should be concise and include only the important points necessary to tell of the healing. Thus more testimonies can be published. Testimonies should be verified by three members of The Mother Church who either have witnessed the healing or can vouch for the integrity of the testifier. If the testifier is unacquainted with three members, his affidavit may be sufficient, but in this case he should, if possible, obtain verification from one or two members. The testifier should submit the verifications with the testimony. Complete addresses of the testifier and his vouchers should be furnished.

Testimonies should be addressed to Journal, Sentinel, and Herald Editorial Department, One Norway Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts.

TESTIMONY MEETINGS

Meetings at which testimonies of Christian Science healing are given, are held in Christian Science churches on Wednesdays. A cordial invitation to attend these meetings, as well as the Sunday services, is extended to all. Information telling where and when these are held is given in the Directory in The Christian Science Journal.
