Words cannot adequately express the depth of the gratitude in my heart for Christian Science. I have found that Truth, understood, affirmed, and adhered to, proves God's omnipotence and ever-presence. Then man as His image and likeness is found perfect and harmonious. I have had many healings in Science. Some have come quickly; others, more slowly.
Since early childhood I have been taught that, as Mrs. Eddy says in the textbook, Science and Health (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." When I was six, I had an illness from which the doctors said I might not recover. If I did, they said, I would always be physically weak. Shortly after that a friend brought my mother a copy of Science and Health. Its teachings have met our every need; and the medical prediction has been reversed, for I have enjoyed excellent health.
Headaches, hay fever, constipation, a cyst, and other conditions have been healed either through my own growing understanding of Christian Science or through the help of my mother or a practitioner. Inharmonious dispositional traits have been corrected. A better sense of home and supply has come through the study of these subjects in our textbook, with the help of the Concordance to Mrs. Eddy's writings.
