It is with a heart full of gratitude for Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, that I give this testimony. Years ago Christian Science healed me of the use of cigarettes and of a nervous condition, the result of my experience in World War I.
Since then I have had many more reasons to be grateful for Science. Among them have been the healing of measles, mumps, and other diseases. At one time our young son appeared to be passing on, due to a spasm resulting from inability to digest his food. A practitioner was called, and in a short time the boy was completely healed.
My father strained the ligaments in his leg, and the pain was excruciating. He was not interested in Christian Science; so a doctor was called, but was unable to go to him for several hours. I was called home, and when I found my father in that condition, I immediately realized that his suffering was certainly not of God's doing. I asked if he would have help in Christian Science, and with his consent, prayerful work was done.
