I have experienced many wonderful healings by depending entirely on God, as we are taught to do in Christian Science. I am humbly grateful to Mary Baker Eddy for sharing this great truth which her love for humanity has made possible.
As a child I was underweight and ill most of the time. I knew that God could heal, but I did not know how this could be done until several years later. My first healing in Christian Science was instantaneous. I had not eaten for three days because of a severe case of streptococcic throat. When material remedies which had been prescribed failed, I was more than eager to rely on God for healing. A Christian Science practitioner was called, and within five minutes I was dressed and out in the kitchen enjoying a meal, entirely free from this ailment.
Since childhood I had acquired a great faith in and love for God, and after this healing I knew I just had to study Christian Science and learn how God's healing power can be applied to human needs. At this time my family and I started attending a Christian Science church regularly.
