Testimonies of Healing

My gratitude to God knows no bounds

From the June 1959 issue of The Christian Science Journal

My gratitude to God knows no bounds. Having been reared in Christian Science, I have not had any experience with another religion. Many times healings and demonstrations have been more or less taken for granted; however, a recent experience which brought about a regeneration of thought has aroused in me a deeper sense of gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to Mrs. Eddy.

At work one day I was taken suddenly ill with influenza. As I was the only one there, it was not possible for me to ieave. I tried to realize that because man is the reflection of God, he can experience only good. However, the condition grew steadily worse, and late in the afternoon I telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner and asked for help. Within a few hours the fever broke, but still there was much discomfort. I made some improvement and was able to return to work in a few days.

After about a week the condition again became severe and took the form of what I believed would probably have been called pneumonia. Again the help of a practitioner was sought and lovingly given.
