The Bible teaches that God gives us "richly all things to enjoy" (I Tim. 6:17). And Christian Science causes us to spiritualize our thoughts in order to recognize man's inheritance of good. One of my first and important forward steps in that direction came when I saw the need of class instruction. Prayerful work made it plain that I would have to place my hand in the hand of God, for I knew not how to choose.
The search began and ended by my going through the names of authorized teachers listed in the Journal. One name only stood out each time. I wrote to that teacher and was accepted. Every obstacle which would have prevented attendance was overcome.
When my husband passed on some time later, I was quickly healed of grief. Shortly after this testing time, I lost my position, and, trusting in God's loving provision, I entered college and completed the college courses necessary to secure a teaching credential. Later I secured a teaching position. After many years' absence from the teaching profession, it was necessary that I start at the bottom and work up. For several years I drove out many miles each day to teach a rural school, meeting the challenge of weather characteristic of the Middle West of the United States.
