THE MAN OF GOD'S CREATING

From the June 1961 issue of The Christian Science Journal

How encouraging it is to witness the change of thought in a friend or neighbor when he accepts his true relationship to God as His beloved son and reflection! When Mrs. Eddy received the revelation of Truth, she saw clearly that God's allness and ever-presence are made manifest through man, His image and likeness.

Without God, man would not be. Really to know man we must become acquainted with God. In Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy answers the question, "What is God?" thus: "God is incorporeal, divine, supreme, infinite Mind, Spirit, Soul, Principle, Life, Truth, Love" (p. 465).

In the first chapter of Genesis, we read: "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. ... So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. . . . And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good."
