ANNUAL MEETING OF THE MOTHER CHURCH

HIGHLIGHTED by reports of the Treasurer, Clerk, Committees, and general reports from the Field, the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church was held in Boston on June 5. Over seven thousand Christian Scientists from many sections of the globe assembled in the Extension of The Mother Church, in the Original Edifice, and in a nearby theater in order to hear the reports. Deep gratitude for Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science and the Leader of the Christian Science movement, and for the healing, saving mission of the Church which she established, characterized the assembly.

Following is a detailed account of the meeting.

The meeting opened with the singing from the Christian Science Hymnal of Hymn No. 256, "O'er waiting harpstrings of the mind," the words of which are by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. The retiring President, , then read passages from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy:
