It was my privilege to be enrolled in a Christian Science Sunday School when I was but four years old, by my parents, who were members of an orthodox Protestant church. The early training I received and the concept I gained of God as ever-present Love are blessings which have influenced my whole life.
However, in my late teens I dropped away from Sunday School and church attendance, and it was not until after ten years of marriage that my husband and I became aware of the spiritual void in our lives. At his suggestion we began to attend a Church of Christ, Scientist, regularly and enrolled our three children in the Sunday School. Life took on a new meaning for me, and membership in The Mother Church and a branch church followed.
As my understanding grew and I relied more on spiritual means for my guidance, I experienced many physical healings, as did other members of my family, among which were those of colds, a throat infection, chronic asthma, and bruises and a badly sprained ankle. The following experiences are significant to me because they proved that when God's power is acknowledged and understood as the only power, healing follows naturally.
