ANNOUNCEMENT
The appointment of Ralph E. Wagers, C.S.B., of Boston, Massachusetts, to the newly created post of Manager of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, effective April 1, was announced by The Christian Science Board of Directors.
Mr. Wagers has resigned as an Associate Editor of The Christian Science Journal, the Christian Science Sentinel, and The Herald of Christian Science to accept his new position. The Directors announced the appointment of William Milford Correll, C. S. B., of Cleveland, Ohio, as an Associate Editor to succeed Mr. Wagers.
As Manager of the Board of Lectureship, Mr. Wagers will be responsible to The Christian Science Board of Directors for administering the worldwide activities of the Board of Lectureship. He has had broad experience in Christian Science activities. He joined The Mother Church in 1919 and received Primary class instruction in Christian Science in 1921. Mr. Wagers withdrew from a business career in 1925 to enter the full-time public practice of Christian Science healing. He became an authorized teacher of Christian Science in 1940 and was elected to the Board of Lectureship in 1946. He resigned from that Board in 1959 to become an Associate Editor of the religious periodicals. He served as President of The Mother Church for the year 1962-1963. Mr. Wagers taught the 1964 Normal class of the Board of Education.
Mr. Correll is a native of Missouri and a graduate of Oberlin College. He has been active in Christian Science since his college days, when he served as Reader in his college organization. He joined a branch church in 1929, The Mother Church in 1930, and received Primary class instruction in 1938. While in military service during World War II, he served as a Christian Science Wartime Worker overseas and, after the war, began to devote full time to the public practice of Christian Science healing.
Mr. Correll became an authorized teacher of Christian Science in 1952 and served for three years as Committee on Publication for Ohio. In 1962 he was elected to The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, from which he has now resigned to accept his new assignment as an Associate Editor.

THE IMPERVIOUS ARMOR AND MEMBERSHIP IN THE MOTHER CHURCH
Is not the whole world today looking in every direction for an impervious armor?
Listen to these startling words from Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science: "Good thoughts are an impervious armor; clad therewith you are completely shielded from the attacks of error of every sort. And not only yourselves are safe, but all whom your thoughts rest upon are thereby benefited" (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 210).
The membership of The Mother Church consists of those consecrated students who are united in their efforts to be clad and to help others to be clad in this impervious armor.
One earnestly considering membership should carefully ponder the requirements set forth in the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy and fill out the application and the accompanying questionnaire according to directions.
Application blanks and information concerning membership in The Mother Church may be obtained at Christian Science Reading Rooms, from clerks of branch churches or societies, from practitioners listed in The Christian Science Journal or in The Herald of Christian Science. Applications may also be obtained from Gordon V. Comer, Clerk, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. 02115.
FUND FOR ARMED SERVICES ACTIVITIES
The thousands of Christian Scientists in the armed services, who are serving their respective countries throughout the world, are being helped by The Mother Church through the Fund for Armed Services Activities.
Christian Science Ministers are paid from this Fund. These workers conduct Christian Science services, give treatments, and visit and work with those in veterans' hospitals who seek and rely wholly on Christian Science for healing. They contact the soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines who indicate Christian Science as their religious preference, giving them Service Edition sets of the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and, in the case of young recruits, helping them to adjust to their military experience. Quantities of authorized Christian Science literature are distributed among the Armed Forces personnel.
The scope of the work is great, for The Mother Church has Christian Science Ministers and field workers placed in the United States, Canada, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Australia, Japan, Korea, and other countries. During the past year, approximately $300,000 was expended to carry on this work.
Contributions are welcome and should be sent to Roy Garrett Watson, Treasurer, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. 02115.
