Christ Jesus gave us the invitation, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matt.11:28) . What a glorious day it was when I finally accepted this invitation! As a child I had the privilege of living with members of my family who were students of Christian Science, and their religion made a deep impression on me. However, as I grew older I no longer had this guidance and finally became separated from the teachings of Science.
Many years of deep trials and of illness, along with inharmony in my marriage, brought me to the depths of despair. Then I turned completely and wholeheartedly to the study of Christian Science, as revealed by our beloved Leader in the textbook and her other writings. Every available moment was used to learn more of this truth.
Physical problems of long standing began to yield. Among them were attacks of bronchitis which had recurred every winter. Severe sinus infections which had not responded to medication or to surgery quickly gave way as my consciousness became more purified with the truths I was learning.
