"The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage" (Ps.16:6). It is with a heart filled with gratitude that I wish to testify to the many blessings which I have received through the study and application of Christian Science. It was my privilege to attend the Christian Science Sunday School, and I am deeply grateful for the seed sown during those years. In the years since then, this Science has met my every need, and I should like to relate a few of my experiences.
My first healing was that of influenza. Early in the afternoon a practitioner was called by my mother; and a few hours later, the condition having entirely cleared, I was able to dress and have dinner with my family.
Several years ago, when I was employed doing dictaphone work, about mid-afternoon one of my ears became so painful that I was unable to use the earphones, and as time, passed the pain became sharper. After I reached home, I retired to my room with the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings. I studied most of the evening without any improvement in the condition, and with a feeling of discouragement I suddenly sat upright in bed. In doing so, I saw my reflection in a mirror across the room, and it reminded me of Mrs. Eddy's statement in the textbook (p. 301), "Few persons comprehend what Christian Science means by the word reflection."
