Even a very short walk on water
demands respectful pondering,
encourages to dare acquaint oneself
with Love's spiritual forces.
My thanks to you, Simon Peter,
that, Christ taught, you thought
of trying such bold stepping-out
upon a storm-tossed water.
Even that very short walk
manifested free thought
