On a hillside outside Port-au-Prince Haiti, just over forty years ago, a group of Christian Scientists met at the home of one of them to read the Christian Science Quarterly Lesson-Sermon together on Sundays. I was among the children of this group, and our first Sunday School was held outside on the lawn which overlooked a valley and verdant hills beyond.
The training I received there and in Sunday Schools later attended on both coasts of the United States and in the Orient has enabled me to demonstrate God's ever-available protection, healing, and guidance. It is in joyous gratitude for the understanding of Truth I have received that I testify to the following blessings.
When returning from a fraternal group outing one weekend while I was a high school student, I was a passenger in a car driven at high speeds down a steep curving mountainside road. I had no sense of fear during this trip but about halfway down I found myself declaring in thought "the scientific statement of being" from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. It is found on page 468 and includes the truth that "all is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all."
