From the August 1966 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"Wide as our need Thy favors fall." The truth of this line from Hymn No. 229 in the Christian Science Hymnal was continually proved in the experience my sister and I had when we were involved in the automobile accident she has related in the foregoing testimony, and I wish to express deep gratitude for the step-by-step demonstration of the power of Truth which we witnessed.

We were involved in the accident while we were on vacation. At the time of the collision, I was driving the car. My sister had moved to the back seat to rest. Since the right side of the car was badly damaged, we realized that she had been protected by this move. Love's presence was immediately manifested as I heard myself speaking with conviction, declaring the nothingness of the suggestion of accident because of the perfection of the one divine Mind, God, and His child, man. Although I had facial injuries, there was no sense of shock or confusion, and help from a passing car came at once.

It would be almost impossible to enumerate the many details harmoniously handled through the application of Christian Science. My glasses had been crushed against my forehead, and the doctor who cleaned my face in the Indian reservation expressed the opinion that stitches would be necessary.
