Testimonies of Healing

As both an undergraduate and a graduate...

From the January 1968 issue of The Christian Science Journal

As both an undergraduate and a graduate student at a large university, I was able to prove consistently that God, divine Mind, is the source of all intelligence and that His image and likeness, man, expresses the divine intelligence. During examination time I was able to prove repeatedly and conclusively that when we prepare our work with thoroughness and then listen quietly and calmly for God's angel messages and guidance, the correct answers will be immediately forthcoming right when we need them.

One final examination that I took as a senior took the form of a long essay. I thought prayerfully a moment about spiritual truths. Then ideas and the appropriate words for expressing them started flowing into my consciousness. I wrote continuously, calmly, unhurriedly, and joyously during the whole two hours. When the time was up, I had finished. I left the classroom knowing that the essay had been divinely inspired and that it was perfect in every respect. I received an "A" in the course.

During one portion of my college career, I became entangled in a very unhappy human relationship that threatened to destroy my moral soundness and my ability to think and act rightly. Through the steadfast work of a Christian Science practitioner, the support of Christian Science friends, and the impersonal support that loyal affiliation with the Christian Science organization on campus gave to me, I was lifted bodily out of the situation and placed where I could gain my mental freedom also.
