A Christian Scientist can prove that progressive achievement is not governed by cycles of success and failure. He need not accept human reasoning or believe that failure or deterioration are natural.
Since Christian Science teaches that Mind's ideas are ceaselessly progressive, and that as the reflection of divine intelligence, man is governed by the unchanging law of God, one can wisely anticipate and cope with all human eventualities, experiencing continuing attainment and security. Insofar as one is God-directed, he will find with every step he takes all that is necessary for success, and he can prove the rightness of his project by its unhindered prosperity and development. Whatever is right is not subject to fluctuations, and one can deny as false those which mortal belief would predict.
A Christian Scientist need never reason in expectation of failure of any kind or of decreasing good. Says a hymn in the Christian Science Hymnal,
