I am grateful for Christian Science. I am especially grateful for the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Over the past twenty-five years this textbook, along with the Bible, has never failed to enlighten me. Reading and pondering these two books has brought into my experience not only physical healing but also spiritual truths.
I am not dismayed when someone questions, "Is God dead?" Christian Science has explained the word "God" so clearly to me that my certainty of a Supreme Being cannot be shaken. I am not disturbed by the cynical expression "the resurrection hoax" because Christian Science has explained Jesus' victory over death satisfactorily to me. I am not fearful of the descriptions of disease because I have experienced numerous healings. Life's problems do not loom large before me because Christian Science has proved that any problem can be successfully solved. To me good is natural because Christian Science has made God real to me.
While my husband has never become a student, all of our four children attended the Sunday School and Christian Science has been our only physician. Since no diagnosis was made of their ills after we learned of Science, I cannot name them; but for obvious reasons, I know they were healed quickly of broken bones, measles, mumps, chicken pox, and various fevers.
