From the November 1968 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Establishment of a Practitioners Division within the Department of Branches and Practitioners in Boston, effective October 1, 1968, to promote the progress of the public practice of Christian Science and to maintain the high standards and ethics set forth by Mary Baker Eddy for this work was announced by The Christian Science Board of Directors.

Appointment of William Lee, C.S.B., of Washington, District of Columbia, as Manager of the new Division was also announced. Mr. Lee has had extensive experience in branch church work. As an Assistant to the Manager of the Department of Branches and Practitioners, Mr. Lee has traveled widely throughout the Field.

The new Division will encourage closer communication and provide a focal point between individual practitioners in the Field and The Mother Church.
